Default sub cutting out?

ok so i have two 12" pioneer 301r's [1000w peak] [150rms] = 2000w [300rms] for the pair.

i have a pioneer gm7100m 800w max power 350w rms amp.

the subs are single 4 ohm coils. so running +&+ -&- from both speakers to the amp inputs...would make it 2ohm.

i cant set the gain up at all on the amp. I cant play the subs loud at all. my ground is good, same with bat. I dont understand why itll play the subs @ low volume, but wont play them higher

is the car on or off when you try this? I know my alternator is shot so if the car isnt running it'll cut out after turning it half way up. If the car is on however, it will go full blast. I made a post about using bigger grounds in your audio system for some extra assurance. https://honda-tech.com/forums/audio-security-video-27/1800watts-grounds-2531857/

how does it sound when u slowly turn up the volumn? does it start sounding distorted? amp might not be pushing enough power to them, and does it switch to protect? try running just one and see what happens

question??? not being a jackass or anything..are you guys using the same gauge wire size for ground as the power? ex: if your using a 4g power wire, make sure your ground is also 4g!.. make sure you have a good solid ground..if you have to scratch off some paint to get a clean ground and use some star washers and self tapping screws..jus make sure no to drill into your gas tank..also, is your subs wire correctly for your amp? if not, it could and will cause your subs to cut out(clip) when played at high volume!! ex: if you have a 2ch, each ch is rated at 2ohm and when bridged, you get 4ohm, make sure the woofer you have is rated a 4ohm or wire to 4ohm etc etc
