connect 2 amps?
i'm sorry but if there's a thread about this or similar but link me if there is any.... well what i want to do is connect 2 amps. 1 for my sub and 1 for my speakers. i know how to connect a basic 1 amp but i'm confused and not sure how to connect 2 amp. how would i run the power, ground, remote, and the rca wires?? do i connect it to my other amp or what do i do?? can someone explain and show a diahgram or something please. thank you
Need more info, makes and models of HU and amps.
The best way to power the amps is to run the appropriate power cable, [gauge] for each amp, [from the batt.] ground the amps to the same ground point, [floor pan of car] again, with the proper gauge cable.
RCAs should be run from the HU down the center of the car to each amp, the amp control lead, [remote] can be "daisy-chained" from one amp to the other.
Don't forget to "beef up" at least the batt. to chassis ground.

what do you mean by beef up, to what gauge wire do you mean?

what do you mean by beef up, to what gauge wire do you mean?</TD></TR></TABLE> At least a gauge thick enough to match the amp grounds.
In the above case a 4ga - 2ga from the batt. neg.(-) to the chassis, [shock tower stud].

why not go to the local stereo shop and buy power wire splitter "u feed the main line from the battery and spit it from there to the two amp's O_O"
*edit* what i did on my ef was took the remote hooked it up to one amp the from that amp jumped it to the other amp as for ground find a place for each amp dont ground both amps to the same place , b/c the amps might shut off if the stereo hits to hard
*just my 2cents*

Although a splitter/fuse block will work, it is not the best way to do it, separate power leads for the low-pass amp and high-pass amp(s) is a much better way to go for a few reasons, one being you eliminate all the connections, [resistance] of the splitter/fuse block, [up to 8].
Another has to do with "electricity takes the course of least resistance", running a sub amps own power lead directly to the batt. will prevent the sub amp drawing power from the high-pass amps power supply when hitting hard.
As for the grounds for the amps, they should always be grounded to the same point whenever possible, it will prevent ground loops
