I was looking at DVC subs and this one seemed like a good one for the $$. The spex look good and it's by Pioneer also. I'm going ot pair it up with a 400 watt rms amp.
Anyone like this one or use it in your system with good results. Not looking for competition sound, but need it to be clear and presise bass, probably gonna go with a sealed box, but I'm thinking bandpass or ported so it will hit harder. Any suggestions appreciated.
edit: what is a component sub?

you might have issues with a bandpass and 400 "true" watts hitting that sub...for the price, i would think you could do better from a friend or off ebay to be honest - If your going to buy a cheap sub at retail you might as well save up a bit more to get something you'll enjoy and will last - even in the 80-120 much can be had.
A component sub, is just the speaker. no box. Sold as a seperate component (similar to component speakers...where you have seperates rather than a midrange and/or tweeter mounted on the same frame).

They were well worth the money, they hit hard but were distorted when turned up all the way. I would buy again if looking for some cheap quality beats
