quick wiring problem

Default quick wiring problem

i bought a new head unit and im not sure where to put the illumination wire. also im wondering what its for.

You can leave it disconnected. I don't think tegs have the illum wire.

will depending on your car. more likly it's the red wire with black stripe which is your parking light. the the wire is for dimming the radio at night when you turn your parking light on.

Wicked is right, but most times you dont even need to connect it. I know when I worked at Circuit City we never connected it unless it was actually part of the new harness' which don't need soldering.

Why not connect it if your new radio has the input for it, and there is a dim wire in the teg? You might find it useful.

I just put a Kenwood KDC X969 in my 98 GS-R. I bought the wiring harness from tweeter for 14 bux, tinned the wires together, including the illum. wire. The harness had a diagram and everything. I think its worth it.
