Today my remote seems to work and have communication with my car to unlock doors, remote start and everything but on the display the padlock doesnt go into the locked position. It beeps a extra time and shows a vertical line on the display or something. Is this my transmittor thats bad?
The remotes go bad frequently, just takes a small drop. If your feeling fearless, here is how to fix it, just takes some soldering skill....
There is a small phillips screw behind the battery cover, remove it and you can seperate the remote case. Inside, you will see two PC boards, one with the antenna and the other with the buttons/display. You will see a 3 pin connector on top and a four pin on bottom connecting the two boards, inspect them and you will find a broken solder joint (usually the upper 3 pin connector) . Repair the contact with a soldering iron. This solves about 75% of the issues I have had when you loose receiving com. from the alarm.
Good luck

Ok I opened it up 3 pin and 6 pin connector I seperated it but it looks ok, my remote communicates with my car but the lock picture on my remote stays unlocked and shows a horrizontal line with a ball on top when I use it
(The signal icon will be displaed if a command is transmitted to the vehicle but a command page is not received.)

Its very hard to see the break in the solder contacts, I would try to hit them with a soldering iron. When you see the icon at the top (line with a ball), it is the antenna icon, if you get three beeps followed by the antenna icon, it indicates out of range or no signal received.
It could just be a bad remote, wouldnt be the first.

I tried messing with options, page vibrator and buzzer and what not , same thing. Could this be the module that sends the page to my remote not working. Is this replaceable?
