I'm assuming since you've already got kick panels with "larger speakers in them", you've got a component set...

So you're going to add a 4" midrange to that component set? Is there another set of outputs on the crossover to support the woofer, the new mid and the tweeter?

I guess I just don't understand why one would do this?

Well if it's a 3 way component set , put the mid-bass drivers in the doors , the mid-range drivers in the kickpanels along with the tweeters.

Yes i know that this thread is super old but...

I am in the market for some high voice output door speakers specifically 6.5s. Im not interested in getting bass out of them just really loud and clear voice. I've been looking into a component set but they seem to be focused on bass and sq rather than amplified voice. Separate midrange speakers on a decent amp seem to be what i'm looking for but i dont now much about them. Can any of you guide me in the right direction
