Default Installing a Cap?

Im looking to installing a cap into my car. Where is the best place for it to go. it goes before the amp on the power wire right? so close to the amp? its a 1 fared cap. thanks

A diagram would help alot

its up to you. just find a good secure mounting spot, but obviously the closer to the amp, the less money, b/c less wire
