Default quick amp install question

just purchased a 350.4 kicker amp today for $240.00 . i thought it was a good deal but thats not my question. i wanna hook these up to my mb quartz. do i have to run all the wires from the speaker to the amp or just find the speaker wire midway and cut into that and hook that up into my amp? i was just wondering the proper way to do it. ill have help with my install but id just like to know the proper way. thanks all

do not use the same wire.

it would also be a good idea to disconnect these wires from your headunit to prevent from burning it out

a friend of mine was installing an amp to his interior speakers and used the stock wire temporarily and had them connected to the radio also and he ended up burning out his headunit.
