Default Help With My Amp Installation!

alright......im confused...
i wired my amp from my battery, fused it, and ran all the wiring to my trunk where my amp now sits, i ran the RCA cables from the back of my HU and i even ran the power for the remote turn-on to the power controller wire on my kenwood MP8017 Deck....i have a Hifonics 440z Zeus 440w amp, it has light-up 'hifonics' on it..when i went to test my system, the hifonics lites up, but the green power indicator doesnt, and i get no power for my subs - can anyone give me any insight into what the hell is wrong?

k so you ran the power wire from the batter to the power + terminal on the amp
you ran the remote wire from the deck to the remote turn on on the amp
you grounded your amp to a bare metal surface rite?
and you ran your RCA"s from your head unit to your amps RCA input channels right?
did you connect the appropriate + and - terminals to your subs? well since your power LED isnt coming on i'd check all your wiring again first..

did you remember to plug in the fuse from the fused battery power wire?

use a multimeter if you can get your hands on one. test to see if 12v is coming from both the remote turn-on and the pwr wire.

yeah i think you should check the wiring again and make sure the apprpriate wires are getting power.. I am not saying you hooked it up wrong..but seriously sometimes we as humans just overlook things...

I am not sure how your amp is supposed to work (when the hi phonics is spose to light up).. but if its not turning on the power LED and the amp isnt turning on.. it looks like theres something wrong w/ either your remote turn on wire/input OR your power wire/input...

OK let me ask you this.. when you turn OFF the head unit.. or turn OFF the ignition.. does the hiphonics light go off? or stay on?

if it goes off when u turn off the head unit or ignition.. then i suppose your remote turn on lead is hooked up correctly and your amp is turning on and off when its supposed to..

if even when u turn off the head unit.. your hiphonics light thing stays on.. then that means your power wire from your battery is hooked up and getting power.. but since it doesnt turn off .. its gonna drain ur battery

verify that BOTH get power when their supposed to... from both the power wire, remote turn on lead, and that its grounded properly..
