i got the jlaudio w7s and i dont know what amp to get .. i know they have the jl amp for it but costs so much please give me an idea on all the amps that can run this sub

Have you thiught about a HIfonics amp. If its just going to be used for your subs I would recommend either a monoblock Brutus 1600 or monoblock Zues 1600 depending on how many w7s u have. These amps put out good power and are not expensive. The monoblock Brutus 1600 sells for around $225.

look on ebay for an autotek mx3000, or mx5000 mean machine. that should do the trick.

Make sure you get a d class amp. No need to watch are of your power go up in heat. lol. the phonics amp would work.

If it's a JL Audio 10w7 a JL Audio 500/1 should do. If it's a JL Audio 12w7 a JL Audio 1000/1 amp should do. Both amps are very nice, pricey but well worth it.

w7's do not suck, thats ignorant. i dont even like JL that much but i'll be the first to say the are good subs, over priced maybe but good subs


look at a 2500d... is your electrical system upto the task though?


edit: p.s. in my experience any hifonics line other then the XX series are pretty much overrated and not that great
