ok..i just hooked up my headunit and subs/amp today...i have 2 12" JL W3's and a 500/1 JL amp...thing is...we hooked up the amp to subs..but then one sub would come out distorted sounding and when only 1 is hooked up it sounds niiice. is it becuz i have a single channel amp? can this 500/1 single channel amp only power one sub? do i need another amp or something of a 2 channel amp? can this 500/1 JL amp power 2 subs? i don't get it...i thought i could power both subs with this amp?? wats the deal? do i need another amp becuz i only have a single channel amp? wats going on? is it the wiring?

A single channel amp can power a lot of subs. Usually I would say that you have one out of phase, but if that is the case you will have NO BASS. You probably have a blown sub. Make sure the Positives and negatives are hooked up right. Otherwise take the bad sub back to the store.
