Default Glass Mic

This guy was telling me about a glass mic. He said that your shock sensors wouldn't feel someone breaking your glass. For instance with a spark plug. Is this true? Are these a good investment?

yes they do make those.. depends on how high the shock sensor is set at it will break the glass or not.. the glass break sensor listens withe the *mic* for the frequency of glass breaking.. i would buy DEI part 506T

I don't have that kind of money to spend for an alarm. And I'm never more than a couple hundred feet from my car. So I think I would hear it go off.
