I hope someone can help me out!! okk.. everything stared when i changed the EX cluster into a DX. (TACH into notach) The DX cluster has 4 back plugs (2 grays 1 yellow and 1 green) same with the EX but the GREEN plug is different. so what i (idiot) did, i cuted the plugs and swaped them. I didnt notice that the green plug of the DX comes with 9 wires which is for the shift ligth (P R N D 2 1) on the cluster. So i taped the EX plug to the same wires colors and left some to the side and turn the car on. Now my problem is that when i turn the parking and headligth on the cluster ligth goes off and the gauges down and shows the hazard and high beam on but if i pull the hand brake until it turns its light everything works perfect. Neither the wipers and the heather is working.

 

Does any one know wheres the integrated control unit is located it in a civic 93?

 

The ICU is mounted to the back of the under dash fuse box. 94

 

Yeah!! Thanks!! I looked up in the 92-95 civic book and i found that all that is running bad comes out of the ICU and when i turn on the ligths the brow box in the back of the fuse box makes a rare sound! I changed it for the ex ICU but it keeps doing it! =[ does it have any diff with the auto and manual icu!?

 

The ICU does not control the heater or head lights, it does control the front side markers, [signal/hazard/park light].

The ICU only controls intermittent wipers.

It sounds like you have a grounding problem at the cluster. 94

 

The headlights are good, the side markers wont work if i take the hand brake off. I will take the cluster off and check again for any cuted wire or something. Thanks for your help!!! This is driving me crazyy!!

 

wow from my past experience I thought they were plug and play clusters. If you going from auto to stick you just leave plugs that don't fit unplugged. They are for the P R N D L 2 lights which is not needed n e more.

 

I found a ground plug unpluged!! That was the problem! The wipers the heater and the lights works perfect! Your the man!! Thanks a lot for your help i really appreciated!! =]
