Default How hard is it to put EX cluster in a DX?

I've got a 94 DX and would like to put in an EX cluster with the tach. Is there anything major that needs to be changed? Does it plug right in or do I have to run wires for the tach like a normal aftermarket one?

U serious? That is awesome. All this time I figured I would have to rewire something to get the tach to work. If I knew it was this easy it would have been done a while ago, b/c I couldn't find a place to mount my small aftermarket tach without it looking ghetto.

you could take off the condoms on the bulbs to make it brighter. its alot bright than stock. youll notice the difference.

before you put it in, replace the bulbs with amber, or add the amber si condoms, looks so much better

Nothing else on the dash is amber though. I might do that, just not sure.

will this work with a 97? I wanna do this to my EK cause i dont wanna resort to an aftermarket tach. Anyone know if theres a write-up on how this stuff wires up?

96-00 clusters are interchangable as well the tachs are pre wired...you can also swap in the older crv clusters

Very easy, maybe like 3-4 plugs. The connectors should be different too so it makes it easier to install.

This diy works good for the amber bulbs. It has that jdm amber look. I did it to my bulbs after I swapped my ex cluster in.

Another question about this. Will the manual one work on an automatic? Will the only difference be it wont show your gears on the dash?
