Questions about puttin a EX cluster in a 94 DX

Hey guys, I have a 1994 Honda Civic DX and as you all know it doesn't come with a tach. Now, I really don't wanna put a big tach on the dashboard so I thought I'd buy a gauge cluster from a EX and put that in. Now I have a few questions...Will I have to run a new wire to get the tach to work??and will the wires from the DX plug right into the cluster from an EX?

Direct plug in, no need to run wires. Just pull the old one out and put the new one in. The wiring for the tach is already in the harness.

i have a 1995 dx and i pulled my original cluster out and change it with ex.
What i noticed is that on the ex cluster, there's an extra 2 plugs that my dx doesn't have. But anyway, i'm still on a process of swapping and i'll let you know if it work or not after the swap.
