it depends, if you bump your system and the lights aren't dimmed then you dont' need one. It means that your alternator can handle it. If it dimmed then you would need a capacitor. I don't think 200rms power can kill the alternator in your prelude.

I wouldn't bother unless your lights dim.

Although it can't hurt, I agree with the above.

Find a dark spot, start the car turn on lights and things, [rear window defog, heater blower on full, put in some tunes with lots o bass and keep an eye on the HUs face plate and dash lights, [instrument cluster], slowly turn up the volume, to the loudest you would play it, and if get "Disco Lights" dimming of the face plate and/or dash lights when bass hits, use the cap, if not return it, and use the money for gas. 94

dont use a cap, get the money and put it toward something more worthwhile..

i.e. speaker upgrade, speaker amp, etc etc.

I second that.

I am running a 460rms sub amp and a 100rms alpine amp for my front speakers and my lights dont dim at all. also the year that iv had my syste, i havnt had a problem with the battery at all(as some would have, their alternator wouldnt provice enough power for their amp so it draws power from their battery, draining it and not being able to start it next time)
