Default 92 Prelude Light problem

Im getting ready to buy a 92 prelude. The lights all work except when the car is running. The tail lights wont come on when you turn on the head lights and neither will the dash lights, and the reverse lights stay on all the time. Any suggestions?

A/T OR M/T?

sounds like a faulty or unplugged backup light switch

the switch is on the top of the tranny, just underneath the distributor and the rad hose. its round with a rubber boot on top with to wires coming out and butt connectors on the end. I have heard of the "plunger" getting stuck, so you might see if thats the case. maybe you can free it up.

here is a thread about it as well...
