Default dimming lights?

K my question is when I turn my stereo up, and the sub gets going my headlights seem to dim everytime the bass hits. I already have a cap but it doesn't seem to help much. Do you think if I install a higher amp alternator, will it cure this problem?

More info needed. How big is the cap? Are you running 4 gauge under the hood? How big is the amp. Is the dimming just when you are idoling (sp)?

IIRC there was another thread regarding this matter. Upgrading to a bigger amp alternator is a key factor.

I have an even better solution.....try upgrading the factory ground wire to a bigger gauge( from battery to chassis)....you may be plesantly surprised.....remember 12 volts always flows from ground to positve...I posted in the crx civic forum about this same thing a week ago.
