I got a single Phoenix Gold RSDc 12" in a ported box @~32hz running 600W rms and it sounds like what you want. Clean clear sound and can get loud if i want it to.

So the box will be around 1.90-2 cubic feet which is pretty small and you should still have tons of space left.

Wow that's a nice table. Good to know it won't be taking up too much space. Can't wait for everything to come in!

I dont have any experience but I was considering these-

SUB - http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/s...87-Series.html

AMP LOW Power- http://cgi.ebay.com/SOUNDSTREAM-AMP-...ANNEL-SPEAKER- SQ-AMPLIFIER-/130420710291?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item1e5dae1b93

Or a bit more power for the a sub - big 3 upgrade?

AMP - http://cgi.ebay.com/PowerBass-ASA110...item43a15cd96f

Speakers - http://cgi.ebay.com/JBL-C608GTi-MkII...item53e3869074

This is what Im considering for a setup in my Civic RT4wd wagon...

how's this gorilla

image dynamics ctx65cs
http://www.woofersetc.com/p6201/CTX6...ker-System.htm

http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/s...7B47%7DS4.html (single 4 ohm)

2 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+STL2.350.html

first will give u 100 x 2 for the comps, 2nd will give you 350 x 1 for the sub

or you could drop 20 more and get a better all in one amp

edzy! I abandoned my audio project because I sold the car. Just recently scooped up my new hatch and am ready to get back to work. I still have the Dayton door speakers/tweeters, the 12" DC lvl3 with box, and the nine.1 amp. I've been searching and searching for a mbquart dsc 4125 for the longest, but no luck. The value of the amp is so ridiculous and I'd love to find one of those rather than fork out 3 times the dough for the same power. I'm excited about getting all this stuff installed.

Hope you catch this :]

always good to do the big 3 and get a better upfront battery.
+1

I just upgraded the grounds to my battery and my headlights got a little brighter and my car seemed like it turned over alot faster. Not only that but when the subs bump the voltage is more stable. Deffinitly recommended.

I know he's already found a sub, but if you guys haven't heard of Audioque check em out, they have wicked decent subs and amps at good prices.

as the resident phoenix gold lover here's the deal

their ti elite mids and tweets are made by dynaudio which is one of the highest end speaker manufactures in the world

their xenon line isn't bad either in the mid/tweet dept, no idea at all on subs. phoenix gold never really was known for making great speakers although the ti elites are just awesome and the xenons are probably pretty good all across.

they just light people up with amps....or did anyway. their last generation was mostly junk with the exception of xenon, before that you had zero point ti amps and before that ZX amps...........and before that the M series and the ms / mps amps that started it all. the zx and earlier amps with the gold plated circuit boards were just brutal and higher end ones are still fetching $1000+

by that i mean reactors, ms2250s and other insane amps...frankampenstein, crap like that.

you sometimes can find an ms275 on ebay for around $200, it's a piece of history that's clean, warm sounding and powerful for a 2x75w amp

lastly, there was an above post on a phoenix rsd....this is the stuff that's similar to a lot of gear on the market and not really one of their better lines. it's the newest and last generation which in my opinion the only model worth buying is xenon

the xenon's were a very problematic line for PG that was part of the reason that led to their bankruptcy as they had a reputation of having weak power supplies and high failures (octane line of that period was even worse).

tell me about it. i went through 3 xenon 200.2's before i found one that worked longer than 15 minutes. when you get good ones they are every bit as good as the zero points, they just are extremely problematic. i would always buy a working used one before new. new ones are a gamble. from what i understand they have solder flow problems in the build and can fail the first time they get hot and or within a few minutes of first going on. PG made a major mistake trying to save money on production on an otherwise sound design. sad to see them go too, they we absolutely the **** during the 90s

the octane line is pure garbage

the rsd line also has a high failure rate

you bring up a good point though, with PG you're mostly better off staying with the zero point titanium stuff and earlier.
