My Clarion headunit is old but it still works... but yet it won't read burned CDs and displays an Error 6 shortly inserting the CD... is this common with older Clarions? Or all aftermarket headunits? And why is it doing this?

 

I had the same problem with an older Clarion HU.

Bought a new one and then no issues.

 

Yea I plan on buying a new headunit so I can plug my iPod into it... thanks for the info

 

Most older cd players will not read burnt CDs. Swap it out with a newer model and that should solve your issue.
