Default blown

ok, this is goign to be an easy one im sure, but i am new to the whole stereo concept. i have two 10" MTX 4000's hooked to an american pro 800watt amp, and 2 blauplundkt 6 1/2's and 2 6 1/2 oz gimmicks hooked to my jensen 300 watt and then my sony 50x4 deck. and my 6 1/2's keep blowing! i have the amp turned to highs nd off of lows. but still. how can i stop them from blowing?

You are using the sony radio's amp and the jensen? If so, disconnect the wires from the sony and use the rcas only running into the jensen. You are probably overpowering your speakers and distorting them.

ok, thanks, i had both sets hooked just to the jensen and that is when they blew so now the front two are hooked just to the jensen and the rear two to the deck...so how would i change that?
