Right now I have a line output convertor on the rear speaker wires coming out of my factory headunit, which is sending the signals thru RCA patch cables to my sub and amp.
I just noticed that my amp has speaker level inputs on the back. Is that like a built-in line output convertor? Could I just splice normal wires into my speaker wires, hook those up to the amp, and not use the RCA cables?
haha I've had this sub and amp in my car almost 2 years and never noticed the speaker level inputs before.

Yes you can, but depending on the amp it may not like it. Why rewire it, when it already works?
You'll end up re wiring it, just to find it doesnt work right and have to reinstall the LOC again. Lol, not worth the hassel. Just leave it.
Again, some amps like it, some amps don't

well if the amp wouldn't like it, why are the speaker input terminal there?
This is a 4-channel amp, so it has 8 terminals, + and - for each of 4 speakers.... altho I'm only using 2 channels bridged to one for my sub right now.
