Default amp problems....

lately ive been having problems with my amp(i think) the thing is that whenever i turn my system up the amp and deck will shut off for a second. i have it hooked up to 2 12" jbls. im not really an audio guy other than installation so im clueless.
my only thought is that the amp is overheating...other that that i have no idea. any help would be greatly appreciated.

my system used to do that make sure the ground wire one the deck and the amp has a really good connection if its not that i had a deck one time that would detect inteference or something so it would turn off alot so i put dyna mat all around the head unit but deffinatly make sure you have a really good ground connection first...good luck

If the amp and deck shut off it's most likely a problem with a power/ground connection on the deck so check all of them.

If you have access to a voltmeter you can check the voltage at the head unit and the battery also when it cuts out. If the voltage is droping below 12v thats probably your problem. Could possibly need a battery if that is the case.
