Default alpine type x?

im looking to give my car an audio makeover, so i asked my buddy wat kinds of subs he recomends. i was told alpine type x are really hot rite now? i dont know too much on audio and all that stuff. But im looking to change everything in my car since my whole audio setup rite now is stock. so if any one can lemme know whats good out there as far as a new head unit, component speakers, amp and a sub. i was thinking alpine everything rite now... alpine head unit, alpine type r components, alpine amp to power one 12 inch type x? How does that sound to you guys? like i said earlier dont want anything too crazy jus want a really nice audio setup dont want my car shaking like crazy and driving me nuts...... thanks

alpine probably makes the best consumer head units out there, they also make excellant amps...but as far as speakers, they sound good, but there are definatly other manufacturers that sound better for the money. My personal favorite is infinite. But either way you go, alpine is always a sure bet. I never seen anything from them that is cheap (quality wise)

All i have in my ride is alpine so far....No amp yet so the speakers have good sound but i know it'll be way better with some real power in it.
Type-r up front with 1.5" tweeters...and a 9 series deck

Type X series I think is the top of the line for Alpine and anything Alpine is usually good...can't go wrong with Type X IMO probably the best you can buy
