Default Alpine Type R's

Looking at the Type R series from Alpine after hearing AWESOME reviews and experiences with the new product... When researching I came to see they had two component setups and one regular coaxial (I'm looking for 6.5" speakers front and back for an EF9 91 civic hatch) Which one would I want for what? I'm not looking for competition, nor deafening tunes. Just something that when I turn it up, you can hear it well, and it's clear. In the hatch area I already plan for there to be a 10" type R sub.

Do you have an amp to power the 6.5's. You will def need it for the components, and it would be best for the coxials too.

I don't as of yet. For now it's just the 52wx4 head unit. Plans (when complete) include an amp. not certain who or which or what one to go with yet though.

Components up front and you can go coaxial in the back. An amp will definitely make those sound better. You deck is rated at 54x4 but it doesn't put out close to that.

I really doubt that the Type R components would clear in the front, they're pretty deep. and for that price, i'd go with something else. im not too impressed by the new type r series, except for the subs.

It can fit with little modifications.

plus if you have an amp with 60-75 watts rms they will sing. You may want to look
at the Type S gear as well...not bad for the money plus it shares much of the
higher lines tech as well.

So you're voting (mostly) against the TypeR's and saying go for the type S? Just looking for some damn good 6.5s...so if you have any that sound great, let me know...

Bump, looking for good speakers since the Type R's don't seem to rate well other than subs...
