Alpina CVA-1014
Does anyone here have this? I'm looking to buy one but I figured I'd ask here first. I read that it does not support mp3's, DVD/Video playback. So if I were to burn music off my computer at a steady rate (even after finalizing the cd), it wouldn't play it? I'm planning of hooking up my PS2 to it as well so I can use it to play DVD's and games.

if you can play burned music though your ps2, you'll be able to play it through the 1014. it's going to be the source unit that determines if you can playback whatever as your just sending the audio signal into the 1014.
unless you are getting a changer, you might want to consider spending a little more for a deck that has a cd/dvd/mp3 slot built in. these decks usually have more video inputs and ft/rear and subwoofer outputs for more amps down the road and a touchscreen interface. the 1014 is a older design based on the cva1003/4 that is like 4 years old. basically take the cheapest alpine deck and replace the cd slot with a monitor.... that's pretty much what it is.
do it right the first time.. pass on the 1014...
