Default alarm programming question.

i have a prestige alarm and i use it for the alarm, remote start, unlock/lock doors, and when i recently did my swap i had to unplug the alarm system. when i got done with the swap and go to hook the alarm back up it goes off and i try to disable it with my remote, but nothing. its like the remote forgot what to do. any help will be appriciated.

You are correct, the brain has "forgotten" the remotes codes, you will have to reprogram the remotes, if you do not have a manual, find it here http://www.audiovox.com/webapp...brand= also if you turn on your ign. before you plug the alarm brain in it should do a "quiet power up" 94

Some alarms will go into alarming mode as soon as you "power them up" to avoid this turn on the ign., [so alarms ign. wire has power] and it should power up without going into alarming mode, [quiet power up] 94
