88 CRX Head-Unit not working?
I was wondering if anyone can help me with my cd player (pioneer). I bought a wiring harness and connected everything correctly, Pluged in the power plug, checked all of my fuses. I tried changing out the deck to a sony deck, and still doesnt power up when I start my car. If anyone had and suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

It sounds to me like there is no power on the HUs yellow constant power, [white w/ yellow or blue tracer car harness] or the HUs red acc. power. [yellow w/red tracer car harness] or it's a grounding problem, black on the HU and the cars harness.
I am not sure about an 88 CRX but most Hondas have a fuse box in the engine bay, and the 7.5A fuse in it is for the constant power, if you have the fuse box, and the 7.5A fuse in it is blown, DO NOT replace it with a bigger fuse, instead run a fused 12 or 10 gauge wire from the batt. to the back of the HU and connect the yellow, [HU constant power] to it, cap off the oem radio harness constant power, [white w/yellow or blue tracer] so it can't short out ,and install the proper 7.5A fuse in the fuse box. 94

or if factory wires are shorted or open then find a wire in the steering column thats 12 all the time and hook it up to the yellow wire on radio, then find a wire thats 12 volts only with ignition switch and hood it up to red wire and ground the black wire.
