2000 Civic Si(alarm system)
My 1999 Si is a wanted ride and i cant keep an eye on it all the time. Need to invest in a good alarm sys. Im was thinking of the two way remote and gps. but i think lojack is better. It will take like 30 min to notify me, and theres no way they could have the car stripped and dumped already. I mean what do you guys think. I mean i am gaurenteed to know if someone is stealing my car right? Basically preventing anyone form getting away with it. If you know anything about this subject please let me know.

Ok let me first say that I had the lol Factory alarm on my si it got stolen 3 years ago. Now on to what you need to keep it from getting stolen. First and auto lock this can be mounted onto the break gas or clutch pedal do a search on it and check it out. Next get a lo-jack they work. A local car thief was busted big time in my area.
He had 6 honda/acuras in his posetion. One of them had lo-jack that how they found it. Third have 2 sirens mounted on your car in various locations not under the hood. Have a back up battery for your security system mounted somewhere that is not obvious in location.Dont mount the brain under the dash that’s a bad location. For example perhaps behind the speedo.Dont have any lose wires showing hide them with flex loom and black tape. Also make you a kill switch and locate it somewhere you and only you know where it is. Also if you plan to leave it parked for more then a few hours some where. Remove the ecu fuse under the hood. It won’t start if you do this. Another thing is get a removable steering wheel.
Relocate your hood cable this is under the left fender so I have been told. I don’t know for sure.Dont put big tacs or gauges where everyone can see them in the pillar move them to the open space under the radio or in the dash. Keep flashy stickers off your car. This says hey I got that on my car. Now if you do all this stuff I told you chances are they wont get your car maybe just what’s in arms reach. But tow trucks fix that problem as well. No car is steal proof but if I would have done at least half of this I would still have my SI

damm sorry to hear about that Si man that must have sucked. If there trying to take it my thing is let them take it. As long as the lockjack is on it it really doesnt matter about all that stuff, becuase ur going to know anyways. theres no way the can disable the lojack. Right?
I dont have any stickers but when they hear my si there going to want it. but i dont want to get a alarms system becuase i really dont care if they break in and take my face plate but i just dont want them to take the car and lojack should pretty much gaurentee me that if it goes the po po will find it within an hour.
Ya know its probably worth the thousand dollars.
OOOO last question what is they flatbed the car will lojack call me then or can they not tell???

here is the thing with lojack it only works when you call it in to notify that it has been stolen. So unless you call it in as soon as they steal it then chances are that the thieves are going to look for the unit avd rip it out. a neighbor of mine had his Escalade EXT stolen and the truck had lojack, they have not found it to date...
