Small update for you guys, finally got the car back on the ground after being on jackstands for about 3 months or so. I had to order some pads and rotors before I could put it back on the ground so I ordered some really cheap rotors and pads off ebay. The pads are probably garbage but good enough to get the car rolling and driving again. Most likely going to replace those pads later on but for now they will do, all the pads and rotors were only $115CAD shipped to my house! Thanks ebay lol.

Had some free time over the long weekend and decided to sand the hood back down since I think I left something under the hood and when it closed it dented the hood slightly and chipped the primer so I had to redo everything. Bought enough cans of grey primer this time around so it wasn't gonna be red. While I was priming the hood it looked like the finish was kinda fuzzy or something so I guess there still was a bunch of dust in the garage and went on the hood while priming it so I wet sanded the hood afterwards to make it smooth again. It's still not 100% perfect but good enough for me, probably going to get the body shop at my college to finish off doing the body work on the hood and fenders and get them to paint it around spring once I have some extra cash. Also received word that the rest of my hard race stuff is finally gonna be shipped to my house this week after a few weeks of delays due to back ordered parts so after that the suspension will be refreshed and good to go for next year

Got some small updates for you guys, received and installed my hard race parts a few weeks ago while it was still warm. They even tossed in some race plates for track days which is pretty neat I think. Picked up my type r rep lip from the border 2 weeks ago as well, 7/10 fitment I say, needed to stretch it out a bit to wrap around the whole bumper but it fits pretty damn well. Last weekend I got some colour matched paint and some clear in a can and painted my fenders and hood. The hood came out kinda meh and the fenders turned out pretty well. Im waiting until this weekend for the clear to harden enough so I can wet sand and polish. I might wet sand and lay down some more clear since I have a can left but still not too sure about that right now. Tonight I had some free time so I pulled my headlights apart using a heat gun and a screw driver and pulled out the orange reflectors on the inside. They look so much better all clear and the best part was that it was free! Gotta love free mods. Didn't take too many pics of the painted parts so I'll just leave one for now and take some more after I get the parts wet sanded and polished. I'm just hoping that it turns out to be a solid 5 footer paint job after the polish and not like crap lol

Had some time this weekend to give the panels I sprayed a good wet sand and polish after letting the clear harden for almost a week now. The hood needed a lot of wet sanding since it had a lot of orange peel on it so I spent about 2-3 hours wet sanding it before I could even give it a polish. The fenders on the other hand were pretty ok but I ended up sanding too much along some of the edges and sanded down some clear and base as well, not too worried about it and might just respray them during the spring or leave them as is, doesn't really bother me. Never polished anything other than headlights before so I was kinda worried about burning thru the clear and base but it turned out pretty well, the panels are super smooth now and show reflections a lot better. Should've taken more pics of it unpolished but they were pretty ugly to look at and didn't feel like it. Now I have to polish the rest of the car over the winter or in spring cause the hood and fenders are so much more shiny compared to the rest of the car now lol. Put the front end back together last night and gave the headlights another polish and they look mint! Very happy with how everything turned out even though it could've been better I know how to do it the next time around which is gonna come in handy since I still have to sand down and prime my spare hatch I have kicking around and paint my front lip and mirrors as well.

Long time no see folks, haven't been up to much since it's the middle of winter here and its pretty damn cold out but I thought I'd give you guys some updates of whats going on

About a month ago my friend hit me up asking me I wanted to buy these 17x9 +45 Advan T7 for dirt cheap so me being me I impulse bought them. They're in ok condition and might get them refinished if I end up keeping them but for right now I'll leave them as is




Around Black Friday I picked up a ktuned adjustable throttle cable and bracket so I could try and fix my bent gas pedal which has been bugging the **** outta me ever since I bought the car. Before there was homemade throttle cable bracket bolted onto the spoon throttle body and spaced out with a bunch of washer and a sohc ek cable. Because of this setup they had to heat up the old pedal and bend it towards the right so they could get the throttle body to open all the way. So I installed the cable and bracket but haven't changed out the gas pedal up until last month which was a breeze but it was still bent the the side a bit so I just grabbed it and bent it towards the gas pedal and now it works great. I used to have a bunch of slop in my pedal before as well but now everything is all good. I also have a honed booster delete kit and 7/8 master cylinder to go in, just need to get some tools and material to make some new brake lines before that can go in.




I ended up selling both my thin moldings and rear lip to my good friend since I love how the car looks without the moldings and I was planning on cutting my rear bumper anyways so I parted ways with them and made some cash. I didn't really spend too long making sure my tape line was straight and just kinda eye balled it and sent it. Personally I love how it looks and Im pretty happy with how it came out even though it could be better. I'll be getting my muffler moved upwards later on as well so it doesn't look as goofy



A few weeks ago I had my friend pick up and deliver a pair of 245/40 all seasons so I could mount them on the Advans and see how a 17x9 would fit on the car. I took them to school the next day to get them mounted and balanced and also mounted some 205/45 summer tires on a pair of Accord wheels that im borrowing off my friend for the rear. This is when I first test fitted them after getting everything mounted up and didn't have time to check for rubbing or anything while turning but I knew there was probably gonna be some problems so I ordered some 20mm spacers off ebay and hammered out the studs that were pressed into them. This is the car without the spacers and not having adjusted camber.




The next day I tossed on the 20mm spacers, maxed out the camber on my Skunk2 arms and folded in the pinch welds in the wheel wells with a big ol' hammer so now I shouldn't have any problems with the tire catching it and cutting into the tire. Since the camber is maxed out im going to have to cut and space out my fenders so I can run around -3 to -3.5 camber up front and currently im guessing its around -4 to -5 which is a no go






Finally had a nice day or two after weeks of -30 out so I moved the car outside and ran it for a bit and took some photos of it in the day light instead of trapped inside the garage




After New Years I ordered a Bomex rep wing off ebay and it finally showed up at the end of the month, so I drove down to the border and grabbed it and tossed it on. I love how this wing look on the car, I think it looks sick with the 17s up front and the cut rear bumper. I always thought the rear end was lacking with the oem spoiler






Up until last week everything was going good, temps were in the -10 to -15 range so I decided to try and take the car out. I filled up a jerry can full of 91, bought temp insurance for a week and tried to drive the car around which didn't end up so good. My toe settings are so outta wack from installing my Hardrace inner tie rods so the car was just wandering and pulling in both directions violently. I made it like a block before turning around and going back home. I tried to make some homemade slip plates so I could adjust my toe but could only get the car so it would wander a lot less but it still wasn't really good. After driving it around for like 20 mins, I was about 30 seconds away from home when the tires rubbed thru my zip ties holding my bumper up by the fenders and the tire caught the bumper and broke the tab on the drivers side and took out a chunk of the bumper on the passenger side.

Luckily my friend had spare non oem bumper and I went and picked it up for dirt cheap and tossed the lip on it and tossed it on the car. I drilled holes into the fender and bumper closer towards the headlight for the zip ties so hopefully they shouldn't be near the tire at all now and should avoid that problem in the future. The car isn't that dirty anymore either, I went and spent some time cleaning it this afternoon so its nice and clean again.

I was wondering where this Midori went. Holy hell you put this car into a transition phase.... lol. You dont think 17 is to big of a rim? Just makes it sit pretty high. I always been the type to stay 15. 16 if i had to in which my case i think i do because i upgraded to rsx type s rear brake setup. Still researching but i read about 15x8 wheels fitting on the type s setup or something about using a spacer...... not sure. Im going to get a ctr wheel and 20mm spacer and see what itll do. Whats the initial goal of this project and do you have a completion time? Keep it up

Thanks for the kind words! Car's been sitting around for quite some time and decided to change it from a show car to a fun street car. The 17s are kinda big lol but I do like the look of them but like you said the front sits kinda high so Im probably gonna get another lip that sits lower or maybe some sort of aero bumper and skirts so it looks lower than it really is. I was originally planning on running 15s or 16s but this deal came up and I had to take it, might not run it in the end but just toying around with wheel setups and what not for now. Dont really have a completion time for this but I do want it ready to drive for spring/summer so I can take it out for auto x and hot laps at our local road course.
