Red EG8 Project
Had a $5 ebay **** that I bought when I did the swap because I had other things to spend money on at the time. The coating had been wearing off, so I polished my **** out of boredom to see how it looks.

Working on getting my interior back to a level of clean I can deal with because it had gotten rather dirty at college in the fall. Since I don't have any pics of the interior, they will come in a few days when I reassemble.
Also, new wheels should be here friday.

I kind of got sidetracked from everything else I was doing when I got home and looked at the porch.

So this showed up today.

Looks much better with a fresh filter in there.

And I decided to try my hand at making a small splitter. Going to see what I can come up with as far as material for the final product tomorrow.

15x7 +36 wheels and 205/50R15 direzza zII's
The splitter is mostly an experiment. It's made from 1/16" fiberglass sheet. I cut the template 3 times and used fiberglass resin and then clamped/compressed the layers together between two sheets of plywood one at a time to make it 3-ply. I clamped the plywood with c-clamps all around the edges and then had about 300 lbs. distributed across the center of it.
It's got some flex to it, but I wanted that. I didn't want it to be as stiff as the plywood ones that others make because if I hit something, I want the splitter to give/break well before my radiator support. But pushing down on it, I can compress the suspension.

Love how your sedan is turning out man. And don't listen to anyone, the lip looks great on there. Is it just me, or does it seem molded on? Could just be the angle.
Do you have extended studs too? But nice work on the 6UL's. I just bought a set of their lugs a few days ago. Eventually I'll be getting a 8" set in black. Do you have a pic at a better angle of the fronts mounted?

I'll be doing extended studs next fall/winter when I redo my brakes on all 4 corners. I bought the lugs in august because my previous chrome started corroding after being in use for 7+ years. I couldn't fit the key on some without a hammer. So I opted for some extended ones since I'd be getting the studs soon-ish anyways.
I might be getting the black 949 lugs or other black extended ones. I'm not sure how I feel about the red. But that'll wait till spring time when I finally get to pull it out of the garage and see how it all looks together in the sun. Until then. I wait.
moar pics of the front.

and rear.

Like I said. Hardrace rear camber kit is on the way to get the rear down a little more. Can't roll my fenders back there due to the body work that was done with the honda rot 6 years ago. Cut out, and welded in new sheet. Had to use a little bondo to smooth the transition. Don't want to risk cracking it.

Yea, it wasn't till after I posted that comment that I went to PCF and saw some pics you posted on there. I actually just bought a 2nd owner, red '93 EG8 to replace my grey one that got totaled this winter in a Hit-N-Run, for 900 bucks! Stock as a rock, clean as.
But anyway, car's looking super clean. I'll let you know how I like the 949 black lugs when they get here. I ordered with them 16 extended ARP's though. Damn glad I got a press.
Edit: And btw, I think the red lugs work really well.

Just weighed my new wheel/tire combo. Weighs in at 11 lbs. less PER wheel. So 44 lbs. of weight reduction and more importantly, 44 lbs. less rotating mass.

duh
