update-came home early from work, didn't even go in the house and went straight to work on the hatch. the car was primered for the third time, wetsanded, primered again, wetsanded again, primered one more time and wetsanded for the last time. The exterior is finally ready for paint.

Also sanded and primered the gas fill lid, wing, and two pieces of trim below the headlights and tailights.

Awesome work man. I'm going to be giving my car an entire face lift this summer. I needed the inspiration.

this is going to be my exhaust fan.

before pics. The metal in the background is used for fine tuning the spray pattern and fluid flow.

sprayed these parts today.

well that exhaust fan isn't going to work because the motor is 230V 3 phase and my house is wired for single phase 230V. The air handler IMO will work better than a regular exhaust fan because it can move more air. If i piped in a condenser then i could force dry the car if i wanted to. Dry time would be cut from 12 hrs to 1 or 2. I have to have exhaust so i'm going to make the air handler work.

i started painting some trim yesterday and the wife became irate and unplugged the compressor. anyways i sprayed 2 coats on those parts pictured above. I'll need to prep those parts again.

haha i really want to because the plastic in the garage has become annoying.
