Default My 93 Del Sol Build Thread. Long project!

Well I have been on this forum for a few years and never posted any of my work. So I thought it was about time. I recently obtained a del sol that I planned on using for a parts car. To make a long story short my wife told me to fix this one for my daily driver and sell the Samba Green SI Sol I drive currently. So I do what a good husband does and obeys his wife! LOL. (I was shocked she told me to fix this since I just spent 2 years building my RHD Civic.)

This car was hit in the front, killing the core support and right shock tower. Other than that it is in good shape. Not a dent on the body at all, other than the wreck. I had already started stripping it before I was told to fix it so don't have any pics from when I got it.

Here it is:

Instead of making all your pictures into links. Try using image tags, Right Click the images themselves, Click on "Copy Image URL/Address/Location", then paste that URL into the image tags.

got things lined up last night. I have been waiting on a guy to replace my hood that he damaged before shipping to me but he wont replace it or give me my money back. So I just pulled my hood off on my daily sol to get rocking on it again.

Hopefully I will have everything welded up in the next week. I have the following planned for the car:

Shaved/ tucked bay
hidden a/c system
jdm one-piece headlights (have)
jdm fenders with side markers (have)
jdm bumper pole (have)
jdm lower fogs (have)
jdm bumper (have)
Shave the upper factory fogs
Shave antenna hole
maplights
filler panel lights (have)
bride digo seats
cage
chassis stiffening
Built D16 turbo
regeared tranny
Spoon sw383 wheels
full suspension upgrade

Definately not going to be a short build. Will take some time. It will be a new car when it is done with all new seals and everything. I haven't figured out a color yet. I would like to keep it an oem honda/acura color but not sure. Here are the colors I have been thinking of: Amazon Green Peral (MDX), Laguna Seca Blue (S2K), Copperglow (09 TL/Element SC), Silverstone Silver (S2K). Any input? I don't want another dark car really, but none of the lighter colors of Honda really strikes my eye. I did find a Khaki color off of a jeep that I like. This is my build thread on this one. I didn't really update/ do anything with my RHD civic build. I should have.

I got the inner wheel house structure final welded and the areas primed with self etch primer. Need to get some spray sealer to shoot on the areas to keep them from rusting until I get the bay shaved and ready for paint.

Still need to work on drivers side. Where the previous person hacked out the inner bucket for a 2000 civic frontend conversion. That is the next task with her.
