Hey thanks for the bump.
I have been really busy lately with work and taking my other 2 crxs apart that I havent had time to do much work to the Si. The whole rear and front is off because I have been switching out the bumper supports for lighter HF supports. The more I work on the car the more I find myself leaning towards making it as light as possible. I will update tomorrow with some pictures when I get home from work.

There will be an update with pictures later tonight. I actually started on the car today and for some reason I just started doing a wire tuck. I dont know anything about wires. Just seemed like it would be easy after I labeled everything. Ahh either way I will post up my progress alittle later. Thanks.
nice! in for updates
i too are going for the wire tuck wince i have everythign apart
show some pictures so i have a direction also

I will tell you its all in your labeling. I made sure I labeled everything. I currently have all my wires sitting in my cab. Now I need to see what all needs extended. Its not that bad...YET. I think I will do ok, considering I have NEVER done anything to do with wires. I have to wake up at 3 in the morning so I dont really have time to post pics. I will get them uploaded tomorrow.

I know some of you guys have been wondering what the hell I have been doing lately to my car. Well really I havent been doing a whole lot. The past couple of weeks my main goal has been to sale some of the parts off my other two crx's...I need to get them gone. Anyways, somewhere in the middle of all this I figured I would do a wire tuck to my car.
The main reason I wanted to fix the wiring was because there was alot of short cuts done. Some of the wires were not sodered or even taped together. So I figured why not go all out and do a tuck...Here is a summary of how this week has went...
Tuesday - I just spent all day just looking at all the wires, following to where they all went.
Wednesday - Went to lowes and spent 60 bucks on wire/ shrink tubing/ sodering gun/ etc.
Thursday - I got to labeling everything.
Friday - I had everything pulled into the cab and was trying to lay everything together.
Saturday(today) - I went down and started extending everything.
I still find this kinda hard for me to do. Why it has taken me so long is because I find myself just sitting there looking at all the wires. I get scared that I am going to forget where stuff goes sometimes... Either way it has already started now and there is no return.
During all this I have found quite abit of wires that were not being used. Hopefully I can atleast figure out where they are supposed to go or where they went.
Now on to the pictures. I dont have many yet because the tuck is NOWHERE near being done but this atleast shows some progress. This first picture is how the engine bay looks as of right now.

Here is how the cab looks

Here is two things I dont know what they are. The first one I am almost 99.9 percent positive that its for the AC. Could someone let me know for sure.
In the picture its the wires that are hanging over my headlight, it goes back into the cab through the heating unit.

The second thing looks like a ground to me. Not sure though. Could someone clearify.

I know its hard to tell by looking at these pictures, if better pictures would help let me know.
But I guess thats it for now. I WILL be working on the car later and I will TRY to post pictures or atleast a update. Thanks guys.

My car had AC. I believe that wire on the head is for either the AC compressor, or the AC fan. Also, that other wire is for a sensor on the side of the head, I'm pretty sure. I have one on my harness, it's for an OBD-1 engine.

So what you are saying is that I dont need either one.

Your A/C wires are all by them self. If you don't have A/C then cut them off, there just in the way.
About your back spring, if you have not fixed it yet , have someone stand on the back drum/rotor and when they do bush the spring back. It looks like you have room.
Looking good man!!!

Thanks for the link. I remember looking at that one once but forgot all about it. I am glad I looked at it though because it shows how to remove your injector wires from everything else.

Yea I was thinking it was for the AC...I am just going to remove it. But you are saying the other wire is for OBD-1 only...So I guess I dont use this wire???

Yea I got the back spring thing fixed...guess I forgot to mention that. But yeah its just where they are so low that when I jack the car up they want to come out of the housing. I just twisted them alittle and they snapped back in. Thanks though.

Well the tuck is 75 percent done. I have everything in the engine bay finished and looking good. The only thing I have left to do in the engine is loom everything together. I have to say it looks really nice.
The headlights and corners is the only thing left. I have to extend them and run them through the frame rails. I already have both fenders off and I have measured to see how long I need to extend everything. I have to work tomorrow so as soon as I can I will finish up and post some pictures.
I will say the thing I found most helpful was removing the injectors from everything else. Once I did that everything else just fell into place. There still are acouple wires that dont go anywhere and I still havent really figured out how to hook up my fan. I will try working with it as soon as I get more time. Thanks guys..

Yea, what took me so long was my injectors. The guy I bought the car off of had them all cut and twisted together, it didnt look good at all. So I had to go back in and cut, wire, solder, and then heat shrink them all together. I will take pictures later today to show you what Im talking about.

Does anyone know a good site that shows a detailed picture of the wiring harness. Like what everything goes to? I am having problems not being able to hook my fan up, and there are acouple things that are not hooked up that I was wondeirng where they went. Also somewhere in all this mess, I have lost where my O2 hooks up to the harness.
Thanks

I believe the plug hanging over the head light is either your radiator fan or your A/C fan. I cannot remember what the plug on the side of the head is for I replace that sensor when I did my rebuild and I believe it was some kind of water temp sensor.

Yea it is the ac fan. I finally found where the fan wiring is. It is in with the passenger side headlight wiring. I just matched up the colors...you dont even know how happy I am now.

Its still obd0 because I am still using the stock si ecu. Plus there is alot of plugs that are not hooked up on the motor because its only used on obd1. So I take it that its obd0.

tghe second pic is deff for the starter....had that thing corode on me one day and car wouldnt even turn over at all.......checked everything and ended up being that little bastartd all gunked up with corosion. also the first set of wires are for your a/c compressor relay and a/c fan. You will have to jump one of the wires to make your fans come on if you had a/c and are taking it out now (at least i had to...seems the ac relay directly effects BOTH fans). Glood luck
i honestly forgot why i asked you about your obd situation but i knew i was going somewhere witht that , haha
ill figure it out soon or later
hows the car going lol
