Thanks a lot for the kind words.

Not a lot to report tonight, sadly. The daily needed some new brakes, so that was attended to.

We did however accomplish:
New tie rods installed
Fuel lines cut and flared for AN fittings
ALL brake lines are tightened up, and ready to run
Got some new fasteners for my timing belt cover. REALLY brightened it up!
Got a new crank key from Honda, so that's on and torqued down ready to go
Also, for some stupid reason, my ceramic guy painted the machined surfaces on my manifold...so we had to try and clean all the paint off of them. PITA.
And we got the battery tray in also (woohoo!)

Also broke this bad boy out of the bag

Enjoy!

Still expecting more Downstar products, and a box from Chasebays!!! Pumped!

Small update today:

Battery tray is in (it was hard work, trust me)

Tow hooks are on with some new fasteners! (NO rusty bolts in this bay!)

Got some Chasebays stuff! IAT Pigtail, Ground Kit & Charge Kit

Mounted turbo up, and had the radiator put in

Center section needs clocked 180deg. The Go-Autoworks manifold is drilled and tapped for ENGLISH fasteners....That threw me off a bit. Also, 2 of the taps are either gummed up, or F*#ked. Going to try and run a tap through and see if that cleans them up.

Anywho, moving along nicely. My fab buddy is coming over next wed to start the work on the downpipe and dumptube!

NOT good....

But something seems fishy.

Car made 272 and 216 on about 20psi. Car was not building boost until about 5500rpm, which seems a bit high. Cory at Slowmo would not go over 20psi because I am on pump gas. Again, this is a 5431 Precision turbo (non-Billet wheel).

The timing on the Distributor had to be rotated all the way retarded. We think the head might have been timed a tooth or so off. That might account for something.

Cory also suggested maybe ditching the 2.5" Hot side piping for some 2.0". Might help a little, but shouldn't see that much faster spool.

Car idles kind of high (1500 rpm). Surges every once in a while also.

Car has a small fuel leak on the upper O-rings of the injectors. Tried like 3 sets of o-rings, and it still squirts out at high rpm. WTF. Set the fuel pressure at about 40psi.

I also think that because my head is 100% stock it's killing my efficiency. The car actually stops making power at about 6500rpm...so he ramped up the boost over the higher rpm so that it actually makes the car accelerate until I shift.

Cory also suggested that I may be able to swap out my compressor housing for a smaller one. Havn't looked into that yet, though.

UGH! I AM super happy the car runs, and has little problems at this point. The bay turned out nearly show quality which is amazing because that was not my goal.

I'll post pics up soon!

All and all it sounds like it was pretty successful. Take a look at my turbo, the compressor is pretty big and my car does the same thing, my entire power band is shifted up. My head is also stock which sounded like it was a huge limiting factor.

Might try and switch to the .48 A/R turbine housing instead of .63

May have been overkill. I'll fix the timing, change housing, and go 2.0" hot side pipe. Should make a world of difference.

Well I promised more pics so heres a few of the "95%" done project!

My buddy made me a downpipe. Note the cutout!

Fittin Nice

Ready for the dyno!

It would rain the morning we pull out for the dyno and I have NO hood (at body shop)

Just gonna set this here......My buddy who built my downpipe for me. Yes it's a 3rd gen Camaro....YES it has CCWs...and YES it is Procharged. SOO nasty.

At Slowmotion Motorsports

Money Shots!!!

Got the hood back last night! woot

As mentioned, still some bugs to work out. Also going to get charge pipe powdercoated black to match intake mani. That should do it visually. Interior is half-*** put together so I have to finish that off too.

Enjoy!

Updates?

I have a .63ar exhaust, full boost in 3rd around 4k rpm (8psi) on a stock y8. Is your exhaust leaking pre-turbo? 5500rpm is really high.

Car is looking good though, keep the update coming!

Looks amazing.

Loving the attention to detail on the long block, valve cover and engine bay.
