Nice build man
also
for fellow EF7 owner. Mine is far from being a complete car and will be that way for a while as I'm stuck on the wrong coast in the NAVY and the car is at home in the garage...

You have some real interesting and sound concepts for the seat brackets.
Correct me if im wrong but It looks like the front part is made of aluminum?
Not the safest in the event of an impact. No substitute for steel.
Dont skimp on the torque wrenches. Buy good ones, Craftsman are pricey yet still not top of the line. Good quality still.
Wiring, you might want to check Rywire out. A custom built, correctly done harness saves many headaches.
Its a sick build and your on the right track. Patience is our worst enemy.
Keep your perspective and do it right especially if your rolling with your baby boy in the car.
Everyone else who wanted to know about the baby Recaro seat. Hit their site and find a distributor. Recaro makes many styles of these. I bought my nephew one and my brother in law freaked out when he saw it. very nice seat for carrying your precious cargo.

the aluminum is scrapped and i've got some VERY temporary mounts setup up right now. and my son isn't a passenger in this car...just fooling around with the camera...patience i've got alot of...if you can't tell by the lag in the updates...i've actually driven it a few times around the neighborhood to test the reliablility and just pulled the motor out today AGAIN! but it should be running by monday morning.
i lost someone very close to me 2 days ago and he was a big part of my growing up years...a little of everything in my life had something to do with him so i'm trying to get the kinks out so i can show him what i've been holding back on at the funeral....thank you father for giving Patrick Daniel Sullivan a chance to live the eternal life

Updates? Also another ? on the mounts
, they fit fine in it because its the ZC version correct, or is there a fitment issue? Also what or did you have to modify anything on the traction bar?

check this out for an update; real updates after tax season!
"regardless of his body work skills (or lack there of) mr. hai le sold me a car with bad registration and has challenged me to prove that he was in fact the seller of the car. would you put your prized possesion in the hands of a person that's willing to commit such an act? you be the judge. LOL. Hai Le might not be a scammer but he did rip me off. check out this topic for further updates."

I like the rims, but I hate ugly & hard to find center caps! I had the same deal with my old-school Racing Hart C2. So I just cut them off with a dremal and painted them. Maybe it's worth looking into. Regardless, You have a nice build going. I'm ready to see more....
wow, after going through some rollercoaster issues, i'd decided to revive this build a month ago. i did take pictures of the progress and i will update soon. lol, it's a little watered down but i can't wait!
here's a minor update:
what i have left to do:
1. figure out brake lockage deal.
2. loop powersteering lines.
3. convert fuel lines to AN fittings
4. get oem exhaust flange welded on exhaust manifold (leaking exhaust)
5. wire up alarm
6. wire up cluster for low fuel, open door warning, etc.
7. repaint match front bumper
8. clean up headlights
what i've done so far:
1. replaced jdm turn signal switch with usdm left turn signal switch
2. tucked!
3. sir cluster and cluster cover swappage
4. removed balancer shaft pulley
edit: will update this update later, lol.

thanks. i finally drove the car yesterday.
it was stuttering hecka bad! it idles pretty good and you can rev it in nuetral all you want.
i'm not sure but i was checking out my passenger side axle and i think it's somehow binding. after tightening the axle nut on the knuckle, it pulls the rest of the axle out of the intermediate shaft a good half inch.
i spent all day yesterday replacing my extended studs on the front passenger side knuckle. i then ran out of gas so i had to get some about two miles away. longer story short, i ran out of time yesterday but ill update a buttload today.
maybe it's the wiring? thanks for reading up
