It feels good to see someone with the right mind set to do everything themselves instead of buying an already modded out car and learning nothing from doing so. From what i have seen so far the build is going great and the problems that you are running into to at some point or another we have all run into and your in the right spot to get help. Good luck with the build and keep us updated. That front end swap looks good too. I have one that i need to get done. i ordered it while in Iraq and now need to get my *** out there and get it on. Keep up the good work!

Yea guys, understand I was 16 years old when I started this with no job..I got alot done and Need to upload some new pics, but im most likely going to start a new thread. How about "From broken down ****, to right?" Rings a bell dont it. lol.

Story is, the guy who had it before me, was what i like to call a first class, dumbass as you guys can tell by the pictures. Anyways, he used cheap oil, which reslulted in a gunked up motor. I through a rod on a 98k mile motor

But we are about to have this thing up and running again..So to all that have angrily pm'ed me telling me to save this cutie! Shes coming soon.

not much of a start but we got it out of the rain and into the car port. Never thought dragging/ pushing a slammed civic with another slammed civic in the mudd and grass would be so fun, haha. Ill post up some pics later!

I honestly haven't read this whole thing yet, but i plan to, so if I say anything stupid, forgive me. I'm new here and have no clue what's going on. (best excuse ever ) First off, good luck with the build and swap.

I need to look at the pics of where you're at now, but god the car was ugly when you got it from what I can see. Mine was all rusted to hell when I got it so I got to do body work on it too. You took on a pretty big project though taking the urethane off.

PS sucks in a light chassis. You'll see soon enough. In a light car like a civic, it's no big deal.

300-500 hp is a big number for a car with narrow (relatively) tires. Making that much power you'll probably be breaking a lot. I'd reccomend a backup car before you get there. It's not the route I'd take. Our cars are more biased to turning well than being quick in a straight line, just something to think about. Nothing wrong with more power, I'd just think reliability should take preference in your situation. This is your only car, right?

I'll be following. Looks like a good project. You took a good path IMO.

How she sits since july

Powered by Donald?!

Well after sitting for so long in the grass, We couldnt push it due to the wet grass and mud, so we had to improvise

Got it to the car port and this is how she will sit for a short period of time, hopefully tomorrow it will be in the shop.

Again.

My car. Alomost got stuck a few times if you couldnt already tell. Lol. Bout ripped the lip off a few times!

Maybe more to come tomorrow. Just depends on what we get done.

To 95neonr, when I first bought the car yes I was pushing for around 300-500hp with a gsr, but that was when I was living rent free, making 300$ a week :D So it was moving fast now im taking things slow and doing it legit. Yes it was a huge project to take on, but as I have previously mentioned, I do not and will not regret it. I have a **** ton of help on it, and the body work will be a breeze! But for now its d-series...I might even build one, im not sure yet..I will keep this thing updated, going to do alot this weekend

My goal is to have this thing done by import alliance, which is July 14th this year I believe. Here are the plans. For now the only thing on my mind is getting the car running again. Which wont take long or hard, I am very experienced with body work, and my brother is a mechanic, so the whole project should start moving at a decent pace. Then I have to get mirrors, side skirts, and a gorgeous backyard special front bumper. I might make this my daily when she is done or go autocross with it, I am trying to take this one step at a time. After I get the few remaining part she is going into the shop, she has not rust just a little surface, and not a lot of body damage besides the rivet holes. I am not sure what color I am going with, but for right now I am looking at vogue silver metallic. If you did not notice everything is on this car is brand new! All body parts, I am even thinking about replacing the doors :D Any questions just ask, or any comments, let me hear them I love hearing it, speak your mind.

Sounds similar to the situation I have with my 240. Bought it as a project car before my first Neon broke, had a good paying job, no college loans, things went pretty well. Then all of a sudden that random stuff just gets piled on, and now the 240sx is still sitting in my dad's back yard, still waiting for me to get started on it. Hopefully the same doesn't happen to you. Kinda sucks knowing the project's waiting on you to just stop neglecting it.

Is the silver you're looking at a lighter silver or dark?
Is the black on the white Civic just flat black or carbon?

Heh... similar setup to my ACR then. Hell, the car's no fun if there isn't always something else to worry about fixing on it.
