Is it true that the intake resonator only acts as a noise dampener if ..?
This is for a CL9 (TSX). The air filter is upstream to the resonator.
If you remove the resonator in this case, it doesn't matter, as it only acts to dampen the noise ?

WAAAAYYYYYY too much science needed to explain pressure and sound wave propagation in an enclosed tube, so I will give you the short answer:
Yeah, it's a noise damper. Rip it out, and enjoy the intake squonk when you hit the go pedal.
