Default To sleeve or not to sleeve????

I have two set of Wiseco pistons sitting in my room now: 81.5mm and 84.5mm. I just bought the 84.5mm set from a friend that needed money.

I have a GSR block that I was originally going to keep as a 1.8L but now gears are turning in my head and I'm thinking about sleeving the block and boring it out to 84.5mm. I'm using a LS crank and going to plug up the oil squirters with earl's plug set. This is going to be all motor for the most part; I do have a NX direct port nitrous kit with the progressive controller that I'm planning on installing. Probably 125 shot at the track.

Should I spend the extra money to sleeve the block or should I just change the nitrous jets to get the power I need? This is going to be a weekend toy and I'm not planning on beating on the car much either, just mostly cruising ( I find long drives relaxing). On my last build (ls/vtec) I probably about 7k rpm once a week, aside from 3 track visits in 1 1/2 year.

I've read that with forged pistons, oil squirters aren't really needed. It sprays oil onto the pistons and increases the weight.

For those not running oil squirters: ever had any problems?

I would honestly leave the block stock and focus on really building and blueprinting it well--shoot for same bearing clearances, piston to wall, ring gaps, and put the money into shorter gearing for the trans. I bet you will be just as quick with shorter trans. gearing on a 1.8 that a stock trans. on a 2.0. Part of why I am saying this is because I had alot of problems with a particular sleeved motor--and in my mind its just one more thing that can go wrong. I know there are ALOT of people who are running around with perfectly sleeved motors that are very reliable--and would argue that the extra displacement is always worth it for the money--but to each their own.
