rod journal, URGENT QUESTION
about how much would it cost to have a rod journal machined? im looking at a block and it spun a rod bearing so i need to now how much it would cost to get it fixxed. im just looking for how much u guys paid, or if you work at a machine shop. thank you very much

i would but i dont really know what to ask 
if i just tell them i spun a bearing they ll ask me to bring in the crank and i have to decide if i wanna buy it first

I just spent 70 bucks at a local shop to turn down all the mains .010 and the rod journals .020......another 40 bucks got me all new bearings sized to fit. I have a good shop here in town (Muskegon, MI), and I plan to stick with them. Plastigauging the mains and rods gave me a .0015 reading for oil clearance on all journals....not too shabby I think. Hope that helps!

about $75 buks to pull dowels, mill cap and align bore ... but you'll need to check balance against the other 3 rods. if the rod is black, dont even bother. what kind of rods btw ? I prolly have extras if its eagle
