Motor is in my sig. The problem is new.
Compression test is 295 across the board. I have checked all grounds. I have replaced plug wires. I have changed spark plugs. I have checked all wiring on the harness.

Car pulls very strong right to 8800 rpm and then it just cuts out just as if it was hitting a rev limiter which my ECU does not have.

AFR's at WOT right before it cuts out is 12.7:1

Could my ECU be faulty. Any other ideas? Bad cap and rotor? If someone can point me in the right direction so I don't spend my whole weekend trouble shooting I would be most appreciative.

sounds like a distributor problem. I have a obd 1 distributor that you can test
with.

Already changed the distributor from one I had wired to an MSD box to an OEM distributor. Still doing the same thing.I don't think it is distributor related. Leaning more towards ECU but open to more suggestions.

How about trying a different computer.

My b16 does the same thing, but today I changed my distributor and put a LS one on today and now the car is only redlining at 5K and it bucks when you get up their. You actually might want to look to your computer for the problem.
