LS/Vtec Built
After going turbo, Im very interested in building a simple LS/VTEC...
The motor is going into a 93 Acura Integra..
B16a2 Complete Head
Obd1 Gsr Distributor
Obd1 P28 Converted P30
B16a2 Head Studs
Inline4 ls/vtec oil line kit
Gsr water pump
Gsr timing belt
USDM ITR STD Pistions
Rest Of Block Stock
Only plan on reving a 7500-8000k Max
What do you think?

I wouldn't recommend it every time you drive, but I've heard multiple sources say this is a safe rpm to rev to with those rod bolts.
...that is, ONLY if you have the cams to back it up. Otherwise, you're asking for trouble.

ARP rod bolts and ACL bearings for insurance, ACL are usually dead on, i recently did mine and it spins smooth all the way up to 8k (havent took it past there because i wont be making any power up higher )

yea i have built a ls vtec for a race car here, and it would rev to 9500 all day long, and than if you are going to build a race car or a car you will hit 9500 in all day for a long time i would consider getting your rods shot peened, or just buy new forged rods if you got the money, but shot peened and rod bolts will allow you to run 9500 all day and run it hard...but as they said ^ only if you can back up the high rev's with nice lumpy cam's.
