Default How do I remove a cosmetic headgasket lead residue?

I'm just doing a headgasket job and I'm having a hard time getting the "lead" metal type of headgasket residue to come off? Anybody got any special tricks on getting it off fast? I'm trying to razor blade this thing off with some really strong detergent and it's a slow pace. Thanks for your consideration.

Are you talking about a Cometic brand head gasket? I have no idea what a cosmetic head gasket is... maybe that's something supermodels put on their head to make it look better.

To answer your question... razor blade and a flat stone usually work pretty well.
