You would be better off with a P30 IM and a smaller (60-62mm) TB. The P30 will make more power where it counts for a street car. They will usually out perform ITR IM's up to ~7500rpm. And at some points in the graph, by quite large margins.

I can easily get rid of the ITR,I'll keep my old p30,bore it out to 62 mm,and when i tune my car,I'll swap them to see which one suits better my motor.I too have seen that the p30 is pretty much the best manifold for something that doesn't rev to 10 000...

Hey,guys it's me again... :D Next question- increase in compression, what is the best way to go ? I was thinking about a piston kit like that one - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Civic-Del-Sol-B16A2-B16A3-Full-Gasket-Bearings-Performance-Pistons-Rings-/221117862417?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item337ba6d211but I'm not too convinced about the ''china pistons''.Is this a good setup or should I look into something else.180$ for pistons + rings, bearings, and full gasket kit sounds good. But I guess I'll get what I pay for...Do I even need those pistons,I'm don't really want to go over 12:1 compression.Should I just keep my stock pistons, and do a thinner head gasket?

you can do fine on ebay with buying nippon or rsmachines pistons. lots of people use them, myself included, with no issues. the chance exists you may have to order a second set of hastings rings as its more common than it should that the provided rings come with gaps too big for all motor right out of the package.

dont trust those gasket kits for a second.

besides a pct piston im not sure what you can get with more dome than p30 without going aftermarket forged...

Just a suggestion, instead of spending money on pistons to raise compression why not stay with your stock setup and spend the money to balance the rotating assembly or reduce the weight of the motors rotating mass.

I am currently building a similar setup (B16A3) and a few of my goals with the engine are to make it breath better, balance the motor, and reduce as much of the motors friction as I can.

Just my two cents you can take it or leave it I know there are a lot of different opinions out there on the best way to build a motor.

Most honda I4's are already balnced as good as it gets. As long as each piston/rod assembly is within a gram or so of eachother, then there isnt a whole lot more to do... and actually, it is better to add mass, than to take it away from the crank.

B16s aren't terrible... I have one sitting right behind me...

aren't terrible only when they're boosted tho.

A B16 is a nice upgrade in an EF chassis, MAYBE even a gutted CX.

They really just suffer badly from the lack of torque. Anything over 2200 pounds with a B16 is still going to be slow as dog ****, but now it's going to be loud while it goes nowhere.

gotta use the gearing to help overcome the fact that it makes the same or less tq than a stock d17 lol
