Default B16A vs ITR intake problem... pls help...

For long time i'm using CTR cams with 81.25 CTR piston in b16a with b16a intake manifold, trapped 164.5whp@8000rpm on dynojet... then i swapped with ITR intake and the result was shocked, 169.8whp@8500rpm but the torque curve below 8000 rpm became worse and lower even before vtec engage... hp and tq curve only cross the previous line at 8000 rpm and above... do i need to upgrade to hi performance cams or just stick to the b16a intake manifold...? can hi cams with CTR intake act (more torque) like CTR cams with b16a intake...? please help... i'm not happy with my current motor performance... thanks...

here the dyno sheet... i need your comments sir...

so whats the problem? lol.... you put on an intake manifold designed for a 1.8L with shorter runners and a bigger plenum. No doubt the B16 manifold is better at producing low end tq than an ITR manifold on a B16.

Is the low end loss worth the high end gain??? Peak numbers don't mean $Hit. IMO, its all about area under the curve. ALot of mods are give and take relationships... Cams, Bottom end geometries, manifolds...

i decide to catter the low end and mid loss with TodaB... my problem is, is todaB will give the hi-end n mid torque higher...? I'm loosing about 2-3hp after vtec engage untill 8000rpm and 1.5-2hp before vtec on... i tried to search dyno result in HT but they are not available anymore... I'll try to upload my dyno sheet...

The stock pr3/p30 manifold works very well on b16s. Your experience with the itr manifold is a very common one. Put the stock one back on if you want more low-mid range power.

The vafc is really limiting your tuning potential. I would recomend getting you ecu chipped and running BRE or switch to obd1 and use ectune/neptune/hondata/crome etc.
