b16 with b17 crank and rods it worth it?
I've been looking for things to do to the block and have found that b17 crank and rods fit directly into the b16 with no problem. My question is, what kind of gains could I really expect from the extra .1 liter of displacement? I kept hearing too many different thing in past threads(some of my own and others)I've searched and not seen any b16s with b17 parts dyno graphs.

You'd basically be building a :snky: b17 with a 1.6L stamp on the block. Those blocks are identical, so any b17 plot will give you a good idea of the kinds power you could expect. I'd think that top-end horsepower wouldn't be greatly affected, but you'd gain some torque throughout the powerband (nothing crazy....maybe 5-6 ft. lbs. throughout?). Since torque is something b16s lack, it couldn't hurt.
I mean, I think it's a very cool idea and a cheap way to stroke your b16, but a lot of it depends on how easily/cheap you can find a crank and set of rods.
I dunno....I probably didn't help much, but I say if you can locate the crank and rods easily, go for it.

it pays off becauxse u can use alot off different piston selections with this setup...im in the process of a sinmilar build...b16 block, b17 crank and rods, usdm ITR pistons, mugen Headgasket, omnipower valvesprings and retainers, supertech flat faced valves and a mild head build...should be at about 12.1:1 - 12.5:1 CR and im hoping for a good 190-200whp dynomark
will be running a mugen header, aebs intake manifold, ITR throttlebody and 2.5" exhaust, and an AEM SRI for a type-r

Why is this? I searched and found nothing on "squaring the motor".

what are you trying to do? btw, that crank you have for sale is basically worthless. To repair that properly is more $$$ and hassle then just finding one in nice shape.
