all motor b16 questions
ok here goes im completely building my jdm b16a. im having the head completely done but my question is the bottom end. im putting in the
ctr 81mm High Compression Pistons
NPR Chrome Rings
ACL Rod Bearings
ACL Main Bearings and Thrust washers
Three Layers Metal head Gasket
arp rod bolts, mainstuds and head studs.
stock rods..
my question is would i run into problems revving past the factory rpm limit? and is there any other factors that i have to look into for the bottom end?

ohh god
Dont get the NPR rings getcha self some OE honda rings. uhh I think the mainstuds are a lil overkill but it never hurts to be safe. Dont forget to replace your oil & water pump.
For revs it depends all on what your doing with your setup, Its not set in stone to rev 9,000k minimum. get it dyno-tuned and they will set everything up including your limiter depending on your set-up and where your power tumbles.
Ohh yea and get a helms manual if you dont have one already.
Definitely look around here and search for B16 set-ups, dynos and tuning software in general for ideas.

Re: all motor b16 questions (kantfadedisazn)
it all depends where you cams make power... you should be ok revving a little higher but it usually will reduce the life of your engine, less on a built motor of course...
