Running a victorX on mine, no official dynos vs the performerX. BUT
When i was running the performerX i was trapping 106mph, with the victorX i'm trapping 110mph.. so its obvious there were performance gains.

i have a lsv with b16a2 head n trans, im thinking of doing the b20 bottom end and if anyone wants to help me with the basics please pm me. I know ive heard you need shorter piston heads to keep the pistons from hitting the head. how easy is the conversion? will anyone lend me some help or do i need to make my own thread? thanks

from what i read the clearences are looser on the race bearings which is why they say the regular ones are better for daily use

Im thinking about a rebuild of my motor. I will probly use my stco crank and rods. But a set of forged pistons to raise the comp a little.

I am building similar setup but havent ordered the pistons yet.

B20b block stock sleeves bored to 84.5mm.
B16 head from 99-00 Si
Blox Valves and Springs
Blox type B tuner series cams

I am looking at CP pistons 12.5:1 , but know with this setup i would be roughly 12.8:1 compression according to Blox with their valves. I live where we have 93 Octane. Will this setup be safe? Or should i do 11.8:1 compression with the CP 11.5:1. I have people telling me they run 13:1 and 13.3:1 on 93 pump gas. Just dont want to blow this up.

this just my personal opinion but i wouldnt run anything over 12.0:1 on pump gas. again just my opinion. i went with je 11.0:1. on pump gas you wouldnt make any more hp with 12.8:1-13.0:1 then say 11.5:1. with the higher compression on pump gas the timing may have to be retarded to run safely on pump gas which can result in lack of power when. if you ran lower compression timing can be advanced to gain power they kinda equal out to the same power but the lower compression would be safer

is 70mm throttlebody overkill on these motors with itr manifold port matched?
