Acura Vigor Distributor cap

Re: Acura Vigor Distributor cap (vigor5spd)
Its the thickness I'm most interested in. It doesn't have to be acurate. Just if it is 4,5 or 6cm thick.
I need this because I'm building a 5syl fwd engine in a car that had 4syl rwd.
And when I turn the 5syl to use with rwd the distributor goes in the firewall.
And then I found the Vigor distributor that will fit well. I have ordered one but it's still a week until it comes.

Tanks a lot for answering. I had hoped it was a litttle smaller.
Maybe its possible to make it smaller. It would be nice if I could take it off without lifting the whole engine out.

Re: Acura Vigor Distributor cap (ralf2)
Maybe its possible to cut it like the red lines?
If you have the distance between the lilac lines it will help very mutch since I get the rotor in a couple of days. And then I can begin on the engine mounts. They were out of stock for the distributor I first ordered but another brand is on the way now.
I live in Norway and there is no Acuras around here. So I had to order it from US.

Re: Acura Vigor Distributor cap (ralf2)
I just did a rotor/cap/plug job on my 92 Vig. Cap is held in by 3 screws...I used a very small screwdriver, and then an allen wrench type deal with screw bits on the end. The bottom screw is the hardest to get to. I recommend removing the battery...it'll clear some space to get your arm in there. Also, I had to dremel the screws off of the rotor and buy new screws and lock washers...PITA. Thought it would be quick....hell no, took me 6 hours.
