Default Rough Idle (04 Acura TL)

I currenty have an 04 Acura TL with 65k miles on it. Usually in the morning after the car has been sitting overnight, it tends to have a rough idle which eventually smooths out. I live in Texas, so cold weather is not much of an issue. About 1500 miles ago, I treated the engine with Seafoam (through the pcv line). This seemed to improve my acceleration, which often seemed rather throaty. I'm currently treating the crankcase with AutoRX which seems to give me an added smoothness/quietness. I've got another 2000 miles to go for this cleaning process. I plan on another Seafoam treatment just shortly before I reach the end of the 2000 miles. I also just changed my spark plugs and air filter. Am I doing all the right things? What could be causing this rough idle? Any thoughts are appreciated.

P.S. I'm not mechanically inclined!

Has the car ever died when you try to start it? I've experienced similar problems once or twice (at 55k and again at 70k). Cold weather wasn't an issue. It seemed to happen after the car had been sitting for a few days. Do you have a CAI?

the idle in the am is normal because it is very lean for a fast warm up. Also their is a PCM update that is avaliable at the dealer its not a free update but the service manager may do a 1 time good will fix if your a regular customer.

it is the power control module pcm
the hds will upload the updated software for your car and only the dealer is able to do this unless you have a hds handy and the current hds updates.

if you can pull up a service bulletin 06-013 long crank time or hard starting ,applies to 2004 acura tl vin 19UUA6....4A000001 thru 19UUA6....4A058862there are 2 possible causes (1) contamintion in the fuel pressure regulator causes the regulator to stick or intermittenly stick, which causes a delay in fuel pressure at start up.(2) exhaust gas back flow into the intake manifold at engine start shut down may cause a poor mixture of intake air fuel at the next start -up.corrective action REPLACE the FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR.re flash the ECUwith an updated software. using the H.D.S. fuel pressure regulator kit P/N 17052-SEP-A00 hope that helps you out.
